Privacy Policy

Effective July 28, 2026 · Last updated July 28, 2026

This policy explains what information LK Essentials, doing business as LK Education ("we," "us"), collects when you visit thelkway.com, buy The Middle School Master Plan, or use the digital Hub — and what we do with it.

The short version: we collect what we need to sell you a planner, give you Hub access, and answer your email. We don't sell your information to anyone.

1. What we collect

Information you give us. Your name and email when you request a quote, download the Executive Skills Radar, or subscribe. Your shipping address and order details when you buy. For school orders: your school or district name, your role, quantity, grade levels, delivery date and funding source. Anything you write to us in an email or a form field.

Payment information. Card details are entered on our payment processor's checkout and handled by them. We never see or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically. Standard web data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site — through cookies and analytics on our site and in the Hub. Our email platform records whether an email was opened and which links were clicked.

2. How we use it

  • To fulfill and ship orders, and to issue quotes, invoices and W-9s.
  • To create and support Hub accounts.
  • To answer your questions and provide customer support.
  • To send you emails about your order, your Hub access, and — if you opted in — new products, resources and school pricing.
  • To understand how the site and Hub are used so we can improve them.
  • To meet our tax, accounting and legal obligations.

3. Children and student accounts

Our products are designed for students in grades 5–8, but our website, checkout and forms are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

Hub access is purchased and set up by a parent, guardian, or school. If a child uses the Hub under an account a parent or school created, that account is the responsibility of the adult who created it. We ask that adults not enter a child's full name, school ID, grades, or any other identifying detail into account fields — a first name or initials is enough.

If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information directly, email us and we will delete it.

4. Schools and districts

When a school or district buys from us, we collect contact and purchasing information about staff — not student records. We do not request, receive or store student education records, and nothing in our ordering process requires them. What students write in their planners stays in their planners; the planner is paper and we never see it.

If your district requires a data privacy agreement or a signed student data protection addendum before purchase, email us and we will review it.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

We share only what is necessary with the service providers that run our business: our website, course and email platform; our online store and payment processor; our shipping carriers; and our accounting and tax professionals. Each of them handles your information on our behalf and under their own privacy terms.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the business.

6. Cookies

Our site uses cookies to keep you logged in, remember your cart, and measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the Hub will not work correctly without them.

7. Your choices and your rights

Email. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Order and account emails are transactional and will still be sent.

Access, correction and deletion. Email us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and several other states, and the EU or UK — you may have a legal right to these things. We honor these requests regardless of where you live. We will not treat you differently for making one.

We may need to keep certain records, such as invoices, to satisfy tax and accounting requirements.

8. How long we keep it and how we protect it

We keep your information for as long as you have an account or an active relationship with us, and afterward only as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes. Our platforms use industry-standard encryption and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top of this page. Please check back from time to time.
