Tell me if this sounds familiar…

✔️ You’re a parent of a bright, creative, and capable child who struggles under the weight of their own high expectations.

✔️ You’ve noticed your child avoiding new tasks or challenges—not because they don’t want to try, but because they’re afraid they won’t get it “right.”

✔️ You’ve watched homework time turn into a battle of tears and frustration because your child erases and rewrites answers over and over again.

✔️ You’ve seen your child give up on sports, hobbies, or projects they love because they’re terrified of making a mistake.

✔️ Your child becomes extremely upset or self-critical over small mistakes, even when no one else sees them as a big deal.

✔️ You feel stuck walking a fine line—wanting to encourage them but afraid of adding to their stress.

✔️ You’re tired of feeling powerless as your child struggles with the pressure of perfectionism.

YES THIS IS ME!

During this free power hour you’ll learn…

👉 The simple shift that helps your child stop overthinking and start taking action. (Instead of freezing up, your child will start handling challenges with confidence—without you having to push them.)

👉How to celebrate effort (not just achievement) so your child feels successful—even when things aren’t perfect. (Your child will learn to see progress as a win, not just flawless results.)

NICE TO MEET YOU

I'm Jenn

...a PhD candidate, experienced special educator, and advocate for neurodiverse learners. For over 15 years, I’ve collaborated with parents and educators to support children who think and learn differently, especially twice-exceptional (2e) learners. Currently, I am addressing the challenge of perfectionism, which is increasingly common among bright, creative, and capable children.

As a twice-exceptional individual, I understand the challenges of navigating perfectionism firsthand. I’ve helped many families find simple, strengths-based strategies that empower children to take risks, embrace mistakes, and grow with confidence.

The strategies I share are rooted in research but designed for real life, where busy schedules, big emotions, and daily challenges make finding the right balance essential. Families I’ve worked with report fewer meltdowns, less homework frustration, and a renewed sense of joy in learning and growing.

When I’m not consulting with families or conducting research, I collaborate with organizations like Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted (SENG), the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), and the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC), helping shape national conversations about supporting neurodiverse children.

At the heart of my work is a commitment to equity—ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive and succeed. I look forward to sharing practical tools and insights with you at the workshop to help you step out of the perfectionism trap and watch your child thrive!
